I’ve always considered myself an optimistic person and for a while I just assumed it was a positive personality trait- magically appointed to me at birth.
Now I do believe that someone “up there” sprinkled an extra dose of optimism into my DNA, so that I could help other people tap into their own. Because, duh, this is my calling.
However, the choice to walk around with a “positive penny” personality is just that. A choice!
Believe it or not, you do have the ability to see your rainy wedding day as good luck or the loss of your job as a blessing in disguise. You can look at a breakdown as a breakthrough and a “failure” as nothing but one step closer to success.
It’s a mindset.
And every mindset is adopted and can 100% be changed.
Let’s be honest, nobody likes a Debbie Downer. And when we drown in our own self-pity and/ or negativity, the action we take (or inaction for that matter) reflects this attitude.
Optimism does not equal naivety. In my opinion, it equals happiness, productivity and fulfillment.
