About five years ago, I woke up and said to myself, “There’s gotta be more to life than this.” That same day, I put my two-week notice into work.
I refused to wake up another day feeling so unfulfilled and uninspired by what I was doing. I wanted to take back the reins. I was determined to create happiness for myself again. I was eager to create success for myself. I was tired of allowing my days to just slip by and ready to create some magic for myself.
So where did this motivation come from that morning? It came from the belief that “I am meant for greatness.” Now don’t be mistaken, this belief got lost in the mix for years, but boy am I grateful to have found it again!
It’s what pulled my head out of the darkness and into the light.
I truly, without a doubt, wholeheartedly believed that I was meant to be doing something great and what I was doing at the time, was anything but great!
I didn’t know what it was yet, but that was OK. It was my belief that drove me to figure it out! It was that belief that gave me the courage to quit my corporate job, the faith that everything was going to work out and the hope that there was a higher plan for me.
Needless to say, everything did work out (quite beautifully) and I discovered my outlet in this world.
Never underestimate the power of belief. It can keep you in the wrong life or drive you straight into the life you’ve always dreamed of.
