Isn’t it frustrating when you’re reading a blog post and the one piece of information that you’re looking for is difficult to find? I think so. It’s like, “Cut to the chase already!” So, here’s me cutting to the chase (already).
The one important question to ask yourself right now is this:
Is the action that I’m taking in my life right now, driving me in the direction that I ultimately want to go?
There are two powerful components to this question. First of all,
1. Do you even know where you ultimately want to go? If not, this is most likely the first “AHA” you’ll have when trying to answer. This is a HUGE revelation in itself. Fast forward to one of my favorite sayings…
If you don’t know where you’re going, you’ll end up somewhere else. TWEET THIS
Our actions are always dictated by our thoughts. Meaning? If you don’t have a clear understanding and picture of what your goals and dreams are, you’ll inevitably take action that has you going in circles, repeating the same mistakes and essentially heading in the wrong direction.
It’s crucial to know what you want so that your everyday choices get you one step closer.
Not having goals- something to work toward that you’re passionate about- will leave you feeling as though something is missing- feeling unfulfilled.
If you aren’t sure where you ultimately want to go, I encourage you to make the decision to figure it out. You can’t possibly achieve the best life imagined, if you don’t even know what that looks like.
2. Think about what you do everyday. Is your action serving your deep desires? Is the job you’re currently at getting you a step closer to your bigger dream? Are your spending habits in line with your financial goals? Are you investing energy into a relationship that is alignment with what you really want and deserve?
Most people believe that because they’re taking action everyday- working full time, keeping up with laundry, paying the bills- that they’re fine…moving right along in life. And sure, they may be moving right along, but they’re not necessarily moving in the right direction.
There’s taking action to survive. Then, there’s taking action to thrive. Which category do you fall in? TWEET THIS
When your everyday action meets your dreams, you wake up feeling determined and go to bed feeling satisfied. If this doesn’t ring true for you, let this be your WAKE UP CALL.
Wake up to your life. After all, this is your only life. Make it beautiful.
