Yesterday marked my 4-year anniversary in LA! Wow.
It was right around this time 4 years ago that I was looking through a magazine when I came across a woman’s testimonial on the book I’m talking about in today’s video.
She claimed that it had a significant impact on her life.
(Cue to me: a scared, lost girl who was having her WTF moment while unpacking in a foreign place)
Needless to say, I got into my car, drove to Barnes and Noble and walked straight to the self-help section. (Little did I know at the time, this would be somewhat of a monumental moment for me.)
To say that something was life changing is a pretty bold statement. One that I don’t take lightly.
However, when it comes to the knowledge that I gained from this book, it was really nothing short of life changing for me.
How do I know this?
Because since purchasing my copy 4 years ago and implementing the tools into my everyday, my life has literally never been the same.
I’ve become one happy girl on the road to her dreams.
With that being said, I would be doing a disservice if I didn’t share this gem with YOU.

Have a spectacular week!
With gratitude and much love,
What’s up guys…
First, a shout out to Shar C. She’s been commenting on my videos and suggested I do a video on book recommendations. And hey I’m giving the people what they want.
So if you have any ideas or you want to know more about something- please put your comment in the box below and I just may custom tailor a video for you too. Whadda ya know, whadaa ya say.
I’ll see you back here in 7.7 seconds.
I could sit here and overwhelm you with all of my favorite books, but I’m not going to do that because I care about your time and my watch time analytics on this video.
So I’m going to tell you where I started in the first leg of the journey. And that’s with the book that changed my life- because hello!! That’s what we’re here for.
Let’s get down and dirty shall we? Wait, I just had my copy here.
What do you think you’re doing?
Just catching up on some reading. Hey remember that sales job we had years ago, yea I don’t think that wasn’t the right job for us.
Hmmmmm, you think?
The book is called Finding Your Own North Star by Martha Beck.
It’s kind of like my bible. This copy, my personal copy is super special to me- improv.
This book is great if A.) you’ve just made a huge life change or you’re on the brink of making one. When I moved 3,000 miles away, this was my savior. It was like Martha knew exactly what I was going through- and that provided a lot of comfort for me.
And B.) This book is by far the best self help book ever written if you’re looking to find your dream career/ calling in life. And I’ve heard other coaches say the same thing as well.
I remember reading it the first time and being so blown away by the material- to know HOW I ended up on the wrong path and to finally have the ALL the tools to find my right one was a gift from the gods.
If you’ve made the decision to create the best life possible, this book will get your ass in gear.
I’m in control of my life. I’m taking the steering wheel once and for all.
What are your interests? What are your passions(whistle)?
I want to help animals. I like elephants. And giraffes.
Keep going, keep going.
I can personally attest to the fact that the step by step process in these pages, works. It obviously worked for me and I was so eager to share it with other people that I even went on to train in Martha Beck’s coaching program.
If you guys have read any great books lately, I’d love to hear what they are so post them down below…I am always looking for a great read.
Stay tuned because I will recommend a ton of books in the future, I just wanted to give you a place to start.
That’s it for today.
For my full bookshelf or if you’re interested in purchasing this book, I’ve posted some links in the description box below. Be sure to hit the thumbs up if you liked this video and I’ll see you next Wednesday.
Thank you so much for watching. Bye!
