How to Be More Confident Right Now!

September 28, 2016 | Written with Love By: Shaina Leis

The topic of confidence has been on the forefront of my mind for a while now. I’m not only preparing materials that focus on the topic, but I’ve also experienced this sudden BOOST of confidence– and at first, I wasn’t sure where it came from.

Now I’ve never considered myself a super self-conscious person, but like anyone, I definitely have my share of insecurities that creep up from time to time.

So my self-aware self (naturally) was intrigued by this new level of confidence and how I managed to get there.

With a little bit of reflection, I was able to pinpoint exactly how I achieved it and today, I’m excited to share my tips with you…so that you too, can instantly feel more confident!

Hey guys. Happy Wednesday. Many of you probably already know, I’m Shaina Leis, but if you don’t…welcome.

Today, I am talking about “How to be Confident (my instant confidence boosters).” I continuously love creating videos that relate to what’s going on in my life right now…so that’s why I’m doing this video. Over the past few months or so, I’ve reached this new level of self-assurance out in social settings.

And of course my self-aware self, was like OM, how did I achieve this sudden confidence boost? Where is this coming from?

It was interesting to back track and reflect. Some of these tips might sound a little silly, but it’s what has worked for me…So let’s go…

OPENING

Now in order for these light, instant confidence boosters to work you must first and foremost, remove the toxins that are eating up your confidence.

Negative self-talk is a big one, old or current relationships (people that are bringing you down), and so forth. This is the meat of the work. It’s the heavy lifting stage.

If you have NOT worked the root of the problem, my advice is to do that first. I’ve done a few videos in the past (including “how to get rid of your insecurities”), which I recommend, so I will link that down below for you to check out.
My first quick tip is to look how you feel. The way you dress affects your attitude. When you LOVE what you’re wearing and you’re like “damn, I look good,” it totally transforms how you present yourself. That energy is easily picked up by other people.

I know you’ve experienced it! Wear clothes that you feel comfortable and confident in. It SHOWS.

Jam out. Crank up your MUSIC and listen to songs that create a feeling of power. Whether that be in the car or when you’re getting ready for a night out. Music has the ability to instantly heighten our mood.

BREAK A SWEAT. How much better do you feel about yourself after working out? Even if you don’t love it (like me), it does a mind good.

My next tip may sound cliché, but hold your head up high. I mentioned it in my last video, but when you walk into a room, strut your stuff like you’re a supermodel- whether you’re a guy or gal (Beckham or Kendall Jenner).

Byron Katie says, “When I walk into a room, I know that everyone in it loves me, I just don’t expect them to realize it yet.” This is something I’ve been telling myself lately when I walk into any room and it’s kinda been a game changer for me. Set the stage for how you’ll be perceived. Another mental statement that I love that Anna Kendrick once said is, “everyone needs to know who I am.”

Choose any ridiculous mental affirmation to tell yourself, that you believe, and run with it.

When you need a pick me up, write down all the reasons you’re such a good catch (or at least remind yourself verbally). The reasons that you deserve nothing but the best, because let’s face it, you are the best. It’s a wonderful mentality to have.

Bring you’re a-game and FLIRT a little. Some innocent flirtation and attention is not only fun, but it can absolutely help us to feel better about ourselves.

My last tip is to SMILE! Confidence is not about being bitchy or having the “I’m better than you” mentality. Smiling and laughing makes you appear much more confident and composed. You’re much more approachable when your happy.

That’s it for today guys. If you found at least one these boosters helpful, be sure to LIKE this video down below and subscribe to my channel if you haven’t done so already for a new, FREE video every Wednesday
