I hope you had a wonderful weekend.
I am back in action today with the last video of my Journaling Series.
(If you missed Part 2 last week, you can check it out here: Journaling Fears + Obstacles.)
As I already mentioned, some of the world’s biggest leaders + CEO’s journal on a regular basis and that’s because there are a ton of benefits to doing so! All that lead to happier, more successful lives.
Today, I am outlining those benefits as a way to persuade you to start putting a pen to paper 🙂

with gratitude and much love,
What’s up guys. It’s another week, another video. This is Part 3 to What to Write In a Journal, BENEFITS! I’ve got 10 of them. But first, if you haven’t seen Part 1 or Part dos to this journaling series…I will link the playlist down below. Let’s go.
So I’m going to run through the 10 benefits of journaling rather quickly. This is my attempt to persuade all of you to take advantage of the free and fun experience that journaling can offer. How am I doing so far? Ok anyway,
#1.) Mindfulness. It’s no surprise at this point that there’s a correlation between happiness and mindfulness…hence why things like yoga and meditation are mainstream today. Journaling is just another way to emerge fully into the present moment. And it’s a way to engage with your thoughts instead of letting them control you.
2.) Increase in Intelligence. The same way that reading ups your IQ. When you’re writing, you’re more apt to search for new words. For example, if I’m writing in my journal about a guy I just met- he is so GORG!
It might be time to expand my vocabulary a little bit.
3.) Journaling is extremely Healing + Therapeutic. And it’s free, bonus. You can use it the same way you’d vent to your friend or therapist about something that’s bothering you. It releases built up emotion, which in turn reduces stress!
4.) Increase Self-Awareness. I am in the business of getting to know the ins and outs of yourself and keeping a journal can do wonders in this department. It’s a great way to pose your own questions and answer them. Why did I act this way? How can I better myself in the future?
5.) Increase Self-Confidence. Reflecting on past achievements + practicing self-love is a phenomenal way to boost your confidence. You can write about specific experiences or even easier, create lists. 10 Reasons I’m the shit. 12 Reasons I’m more than capable of achieving __________.
6.) Self-Discipline. It’s a way to practice holding you accountable. The way to better yourself (in a nutshell) is by making + breaking habits. Start with this habit. 10 Minutes a day.
7.) Spark Creativity. Whether you consider yourself a creative person or not, we all have ideas + thoughts that need to be set free. Rapid writing is an effective way to release your inner, creative rock star. You might be surprised as to what you have brewing in there.
8.) Find solutions. Instead of getting lost in your endless “problems,” be an active problem solver by asking yourself, “OK, how can I fix this? What are my choices?” Your journal can provide that space to explore your options.
9.) Achieve Goals + Brainstorm Ideas. Write it down, make it happen. Writing your goals down is the first step to making them happen. And if you don’t have a good system for jotting down any ideas that come to you, you will forget them!! Take my word for it.
10.) Fun! With journaling, you have the freedom to use it any, which way you choose. Write a fun story, draw a picture, write a poem, whatever. It’s a place for creative freedom and exploration.
That’s all for today guys. If you liked this video, hit the thumbs up below and remember to please subscribe if you haven’t already. Check out the rest of my journaling videos in the playlist and I’ll see ya next Wednesday. Bye!
