Progress Is IT Working

Hi, I'm Shaina

I’m a Self-Discovery Coach, Pisces and interior design enthusiast living in sunny Los Angeles. I help women lost in their careers find their true purpose.

On every client call, I ask: What are we celebrating today?

At first glance, this question can come off cliché, “pretty” or pretty corny.

*it brings me right back to my corporate days, Monday meetings and round table ‘WINS” of the week. I just about wanted to poke my eyeballs out*

So yea, I totally get the initial eye roll (this is so lame) reaction.

But after working alongside my own coach, I came to understand WHY it was so important to be COMMITTED to this question.

Not just weekly, but all of the merry hee haw time.

By default, our brains cut straight to everything that’s NOT working.

I don’t have the pile of money yet. I don’t have all the clients yet. I don’t have the big job I’m highly obsessed with yet.

Our brains love to look at the “finish line” and POUT about not being there.

It’s the reason that in the beginning of coaching, many of my clients wrestle to answer the question: What are we celebrating today?

This is because of the automatic HARD NO reaction.

I can’t be happy or excited or satisfied until I achieve what I want.

Let’s be clear. Nothing has gone wrong.

This is simply the misguided beauty of the human brain.

And so at the start of coaching, my clients haven’t yet trained their brain to focus on what IS working. They haven’t yet trained their brain for the long-game.

hence, the coaching.

That’s what I want to talk about today.

Re-training your brain using ONE TOOL to actually achieve your goals from start to finish.
